What we did

The David Foster Foundation works with its national partners to invite between 600 and 1,000 guests to its annual major fundraising event. The David Foster Foundation Miracle Gala & Concert includes a red carpet arrival, gourmet dinner, live auction, a sponsor-a-family live pledge drive, and a spectacular star-studded concert featuring David Foster and a selection of his talented friends. The 2017 event was held on our doorstep at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC.

How we did it

Beattie Tartan created a strategic communications plan including media outreach, which led to media partnerships with TV and print publications. We produced and distributed multiple public announcements to national and regional media to spread awareness around the event. To promote the Gala and stir up some buzz, Beattie Tartan planned and managed a red carpet media launch event in Vancouver. Following the event, Beattie Tartan shared a post event press release with the notable facts from the evening and sending the b-roll to national and regional media.

Our results

The David Foster Foundation Miracle Gala & Concert generated a combined advertising equivalency of $1,176,094 CAD.​ Beattie Tartan secured notable coverage over multiple media outlets, including: red carpet interviews, a live broadcast on Global News @6, and more than 160 articles in print and online. â€‹

The coverage resulted in 12,817,343 impressions through earned print and online media. â€‹We captured 45 minutes of TV coverage around pre-interviews with programs ranging from Global News Vancouver Live to ET Canada. Social media impressions included: 1,589 social mentions between September 30 and October 31, 2017 and reach of 6,507,195.
